CV Resolve — CV screening software for executive search
CV Resolve reads every CV on a search against the brief you set: scoring fit, naming the
must-haves it can and cannot evidence, and turning what is missing into questions for the
interview. Candidates can upload their own CV and get the same reading back as specific
edits to accept or dismiss. Built and used inside Sinecure, Inc., the parent of Grace Blue,
Strategy Source, The Second Shift and Sinecure.ai.

Frequently asked questions
What is CV Resolve?
CV Resolve is CV screening software for executive search. You set the brief for a role once, and every CV that arrives is read against it — scored for fit, with the must-haves it can and cannot evidence named, and each gap turned into a question to ask at interview. There is a second half for candidates: anyone can upload their own CV and get the same reading back as specific edits to accept or dismiss.
Who is it for — recruiters or candidates?
Both, with a separate workflow each. Search firms and in-house recruiters use it to screen a whole field against one brief and build a shortlist they can defend to a client. Candidates use it to improve their own CV, optionally against a specific job description. It is built and used inside Sinecure, Inc., whose operating companies include Grace Blue, Strategy Source and The Second Shift.
How does it screen a CV against a job description?
The brief goes in once, at the top of the role, and then does not move. Each CV is parsed, structured, and compared against that brief on the same rubric: must-haves matched, must-haves missing, and risk flags. Every flag names the line of the document that produced it, so a score can be traced back to the CV rather than taken on trust. Candidate nineteen is assessed exactly as candidate one was, however many weeks apart they arrived.
Does it rank candidates against a peer benchmark or a percentile?
No, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a missing feature. We do not have a peer cohort, so we do not report one — no percentiles, no industry averages, no "stronger than 67% of profiles". A candidate is measured against the brief for the role and against the evidence in their own document, and against nothing else. Any number you see is counted from the CV in front of you.
Can it pull candidates from our ATS?
Yes. You can open a role directly from a project in your ATS and bring its candidates and their résumés across, then choose who is worth screening — so nothing is spent on a field you have not looked at. Run the import again later to pick up applications that arrived since. We read from your ATS and never write back to it: it stays the system of record.
What file formats can I upload, and how large?
PDF, DOCX, RTF or TXT, up to 10 MB per file. On the candidate side a target job description is optional — supply one and everything is scored against that specific role rather than against general norms for the level.
Is CV Resolve free?
It is free to start and there is no card to try it. The free plan gives a candidate one full analysis a month, including fit scored against a job description. Candidate Pro lifts the monthly limit and adds DOCX and PDF export of the edited CV. Recruiter Pro covers unlimited roles and CVs screened, side-by-side comparison, saved shortlists, interview probes and CSV export of the ranked field. Current prices are on the pricing section of this page.
What happens to a CV after it is uploaded?
It is scoped to the account that uploaded it, enforced on the API rather than hidden in the interface, so a consultant sees only their own searches. We run no analytics, tag manager or advertising scripts anywhere in the product. Feedback sent to a candidate travels as a private link you can withdraw, and it carries none of your internal assessment — not the fit score, not the rubric, not the risk flags. Deleting a role, a candidate or an analysis is a button on the screen you are already looking at, and deleting a CV deletes the stored file with it.
